Restored and maintained by the Jr. Service League of For
Walton Beach. Built in 1912, the school was
in use until 1936. The building is open to groups for
tours by reservation.

At the FOCUS CENTER, you’ll find a museum for children

that teach about natural phenomena and basic scientific

Heritage
Museum (Valparaiso)
Located just a few minutes from the East Gate of
Eglin Air Force Base. The Heritage Museum features exhibits
that illustrate the history of NW Florida. Hours are Tuesday
through Saturday, 10:00 - 4:00. Admission is free.

Temple Mound Museum (Fort Walton Beach)
Admission $2. A 20,000 piece exhibit showcasing America's
largest collection of Southeastern Indian ceramic artifacts
found in a 40-mile radius of the downtown area. A temple
mound, once used by Native Americans for political and
religious ceremonies, is just outside the museum.

Destin Post Office (Destin)
Artifacts, photos, historic objects and data reflect the
culture of early Destin pioneers. Destin's first post
office was set up in a home parlor in 1897. Hours: Wed.
