Admission free. Exhibits of aircraft and armaments dating back to World War I. This is a must see.  Take the kids to for a close up look of those high flying machines.

Camp Walton School House (Fort Walton Beach)
Restored and maintained by the Jr. Service League of For Walton Beach.  Built in 1912, the school was in use until 1936. The building is open to groups for tours by reservation.

Emerald Coast Science Center (Fort Walton Beach)
Admission $3.50, children 3 and under free. Where a child can turn  a science museum into fun!  Come discover the difference a hands-on encounter with science can make. At the FOCUS CENTER, you’ll find a museum for children and families filled with touchable, interactive exhibits that teach about natural phenomena and basic scientific principles.

Heritage Museum (Valparaiso)
Located just a few minutes from the East Gate of Eglin Air Force Base. The Heritage Museum features exhibits that illustrate the history of NW Florida. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 - 4:00. Admission is free.

Indian Temple Mound Museum (Fort Walton Beach)
Admission $2. A 20,000 piece exhibit showcasing America's largest collection of Southeastern Indian ceramic artifacts found in a 40-mile radius of the downtown area. A temple mound, once used by Native Americans for political and religious ceremonies, is just outside the museum.

Old Destin Post Office (Destin)
Artifacts, photos, historic objects and data reflect the culture of early Destin pioneers. Destin's first post office was set up in a home parlor in 1897. Hours: Wed. 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.
